Nonsense! Six is perfect.
Unless they are thin mints, then take 6 but go back for 2 more when you’re done. Wouldn’t want to drink the rest of the hot chocolate without enough thin mints!

This is complicated. One must eat a bite of cookie, then sip some milk and continue the process until all of the cookies or all of the milk is gone. If through happenstance, one is left with more milk after having finished your cookies, one must get more cookies until the milk is gone. if through happenstance, the milk is gone, but there remains more cookies, one must get more milk until the cookies is gone. and so it goes until…

One must NEVER DUNK a cookie in the milk.

> Uhh, no. The USDA does not define a serving size, that is left up to the manufacturers themselves. So let’s say a cookie maker wants to market a “healthy”, low-calorie “cookie pack”, all they would have to do is alter the serving size to match the calorie content that they are looking to hit. Bingo, healthy, low calorie cookies. That’s how you get all these “100 calorie” cookie snacks. There is like a half of a broken up cookie inside.

Ahem. See Post 18.

I would say two normal-sized cookies (like about 2.5"-3" in diameter).

2 cookies is my typical serving. Once in awhile I’ll splurge and grab a 3rd one if they are fresh baked and still warm Peanut butter cookies are my favorites.

There are four people in our household.

Therefore, a serving is 1/4 of a recipe.

More seriously, 2-3 cookies is usually enough for one go-round, though I reserve the right to go back 10 minutes later for seconds 😃

Two is usually my serving size, too, but cookies fresh out of the oven are indeed as good as they’re going to get, so enjoy them while it lasts.

I made some chocolate cookies with toasted coconut and peanut butter chips this week - mmm mmm good. 🙂

Again, agreed. It is one serving. 😃

You sound like my husband who, until his middle-aged weight gain, liked to consider every bag of chips a single-serving size. 😃

Whatcha do is make a C with your thumb and your two middle fingers. This is your “grabber grip” and however many cookies fits in your grabber is what you get. Bummer if you have small hands.

The most important consideration is if the cookies are free. If the cookies have been left out at the office, you must take as many as possible, making as many trips a necessary to achieve your goal (this is true regardless of whether you like the cookies or not) because even as you are reading this, _someone else is doing it_. Hurry!

Oreos must be consumed in even numbers, so’s you can do the whole twist of make double-double stuff cookie.
