Exactly.
O.K., I know it’s legal to make a right turn on a red light, but you have to STOP first. You don’t just get to blow through it, rounding the corner at 50 mph and causing the people who do have the right of way to have to slam on their brakes. GET IT RIGHT, PEOPLE!
blowero, is your post allegorical, or did you accidentally post in the wrong thread?
I think you’re spot on here. If you’re posting something in MPSIMS the hijacking should be kept to a minimum. But in the Pit and GD, those forums are more apt for exploring subjects and the nitty gritty. The only difference in my eyes is in GD you have to provide cites to assert your position (as in a normal debate) and in the Pit is where you let the rhetoric fly. At least that’s how I’ve understood the rules and general behavior of posters in each of those forums.
I don’t think anti-abortion protestors ought to behave in such a manner as to frighten small children. I also don’t think they ought to be funded out of public money, especially (in the UK at least) the council tax. I mean, my council tax just went up by about twice the rate of inflation, and I think they just put something about an “adjustment” on the bill. A bit like when they upped the fee at the park-n-ride by about 10% and the poster said “Notice of Variation”. What’s this, too mealy-mouthed to use the word “increase”, or just hoping we’re too dim to notice? Fucktards.
Anyone else with a pet peeve about how the Government shakes you down more and more with each year that passes?
Can I hijack this thread about hijacking and ask that you make up an interpretation for the allegory? I have no doubt that it would be amusing.
As far as the OP is concerned, my take on the referenced thread is that it evolved in a direction not necessarily intended by the OP, but it was not hijacked. There are some topics that really have this as an inevitable consequence, abortion being one of them
Looking for a serious answer? Maybe try a different forum, like ATMB. This here’s the pit, so fuck off. {J/K :D}
Anyone have a recipe for key lime pie that uses regular limes in place of key limes?
