# What could be wrong with my friend?

Well, I realize that nobody here is a doctor, but my friend has been to doctors a few times and nobody can reach a conclusive diagnosis. Could anyone here tell me what these symptoms might mean?

Fatigue all day for the last 3 weeks or so  
Frequent urination (although this has been going on her whole life)  
Frequent defecation for the last few days  
Sporadic sickness… about once a month for the last 3 months  
Low white blood cell count  
Liver fine and not inflamed  
Thyroid gland also fine  
A few days ago she detected a sharp pain in the back of her neck that would come and go a few times a day  
Hypoglycemia  
Tested negative for mono

She’s looked slightly better the last few days but not very much. I’m hoping that she’ll pull out of it because she’s a cross country runner and she hates not being able to run a mile without becoming out of breath. On the other hand, its progress… a week ago she could barely run at all.

The “alternative medicine” doctor she went to diagnosed her with Adrenal fatigue and gave her B vitamins. Does this sound right? Do all the sympotoms match? She’s going to the hospital for tests in 2 weeks for various things, including yeast infection in the blood and several other things. What are the possibilites?

There are indeed doctors on the SDMB, however, none of of them would be so unprofessional as to diagnose your friend over the internet. Your friend should be going to a competent doctor, and I should be closing this thread.
