I am most surprised that besides me, 2 others have been to DR Congo (more visitors then Nepal and Saudi which is shocking). I was there on holiday (but I’m weird)… what were others doing? ---

Does this predate your visit? It seems that neither the (independent) Czech or Slovak republics sought recognition as the successor state of Czechoslovakia. This surprised me as I thought the Czech Republic was recognized as such. So saying that the Czech Republic “was called Czechoslovakia at the time” is in fact technically inaccurate. I don’t mind though. 😉 ---
