The guideline I’ve heard is “More than a mouthful is wasted.” 😃

Another vote for keeping the breasts and dumping the husband. His comments show a pretty base level of cruelty. He’d have to be quite a troglodyte not to understand that such behavior hurts his wife, especially from the one person who is supposed to love and respect her.

34 B? Hmph. \*I’m \* a 34 B, and my boobs, while not large, are round, bouncy, and cute. Anyone who doesn’t like 'em can just avert his or her gaze.

I have a copy of Sirens. She’s not flat.

Don’t be talkin’ smack about Portia! It does look like she lost some weight and curves between seasons one and two of Arrested Development, which I thought was a shame.

If he’s not happy with her appearance now, won’t he just find other things to be unhappy with when she gets the big knockers?

I’ve always been busty, and it’s not like that solved any image-related relatioship problems. I had boobs and I’m pretty skinny, but I wasn’t blonde, which was once a problem, and my arms have never been very toned, which again came up once, and my bum is fairly bootylicious, and one boyfriend suggested maybe I’d have less trouble finding nice pants if I went to the gym to shrink it .

I solved the problem by not dating jerks, instead of dying my hair and reshaping my ass, which I (and most other people) like very much, thanks. Much easier.

I’l second the whole “big boobs will NOT solve all problems”. I have always been rather stacked up top, and if anything it has caused more problems than it has solved (I am also rather slender, perfect hourglass). Clothing doesn’t fit right, back problems, and unwanted attention are the side effects that come to mind at the time. Many problems with wandering eyes also. For every jerk who says something there are a hundred who have thought it. Killed my self-esteem when I was younger, I have learned to just ignore it now.

It sounds like your friend has just the right amount; the only way to be truly flat-chested is to have concave boobs. If she had come up with the idea that her boobs were too small and she wanted surgery on her own, then go for it. But if its her husband urging her along, then it may do more harm than good by going for the surgery.

If she does decide on the surgery, tell her to think of the things she is giving up. Going braless, for one; wearing loose fitting clothing too. Big boobs + loose shirt = looking pregnant. It also makes hugging awkward, and pushing through a crowd. Bras are also more expensive, and god forbid she has to wear button down shirts. They either gape at the top or make you look twenty pounds heavier.

My personal opinion on the matter; Dump the jerk!

Add me to the chorus of those who think a woman with an A or a B cup is just fine. Breasts are just one part of the package and there are vastly more important parts.

One point I haven’t seen made is that she’s young and her breasts may grow naturally with childbirth. So she should tell her husband that thay’d be bigger if he were more of a man. 😃

My SIL is very heavily endowed. She has lots of back and shoulder pain, and department store bras will not provide the support she needs. She’s even considering having reduction surgery.

**What counts as ‘flat-chested’?**

A tattoo on the chest that reads “This Side Up”.

Now, would she really be giving up going braless? I mean, maybe in certain situations where it would be highly inappropriate, but in general. Fake boobs sit nice and high without support. If she went up to, say, a large C- she could probably wear plenty of shirts without support.
