1. Bare feet in the bathroom. I can’t go into a bathroom without shoes or sandals. Socks will make it _tolerable_ for me if it’s absolutely urgent. but…ew, bathroom floors. (especially in a dorm!) 2. Fish. Creepy as hell. 3. Boats and planes. If solid ground is more than, say, five feet below me, I’m not very happy. 4. Being in big groups of people. I like watching people, from the outskirts. I really, really can’t stand, say, walking through Manhattan during rush-hour. THink about the number of diseases immediately surrounding you. 5. Crickets. And grasshoppers. I don’t know why. I love insects, other than those. Those two give me the serious heebie-jeebies. ---

I don’t creep easy. Someone once put a severed dog’s head they found out by the railroad tracks in a friends dorm room bed and I volunteered to throw it out. I TEACH KINDERGARTEN, fcrissakes… I’m battle hardened, shock-resistant. But the first time I heard that urban legend about a coked up gerbil getting stuck in someone’s ass for anal pleasure, I got so freaked out I ran up the street at 1:00am to walk it off and didn’t slow down for five miles. ---

Do you know where the fear started? As for me: definitely spiders. It’s weird, because tarantulas I can handle. Because they’re big, and they walk real slow and you can see them. It’s the little ones that get to me. The inch-long ones that sit under the towel in the bathroom, just waiting to be disturbed, and the ones with the big fat abdomens that spin webs under streetlights and such. Even dead spiders creep me out. I have a can of spider killer spray in my room that I use fairly often, and the picture on the front even creeps me out. It’s not even a realistic picture, its a black silhouette of a spider but I really can’t even look at it. Also: the thought of someone being cut with a knife. Not stabbed, but cut. Like sliced open. I hate the word slice because it gives me the creeps. I can watch surgery shows just fine and all, but the thought of someone just taking a knife and slicing someone, say, across the arm with it slowly is just CREEPY! I get creeped out of I hold a razor blade sometimes because I think about a person slicing their wrists with it. ---

Death, dying, dead people, decomposition, outer space, bugs (especially spiders), the ocean, the dark, clowns, the circus, big crowds, medical stuff (I live in fear of coming across a gross surgery program while channel-flipping), mental illness, drugs, physical deformities (unless I’ve known the person long enough not to think about it), cancer, ghost stories (my college is supposedly haunted and I’m scared as fuck of being in the music building at night), et cetera. Mostly death and space. ---

I heard that they do appendectomies through an incision in the belly button sometimes, to hide the scar. I’d rather have a scar, thank you very much. Also, when they use power tools on bones in operations. We watch a lot of medical shows at my house, and nothing creeps me out except watching them use a drill, or a chisel and hammer, or electric saw on someone’s tibia or something. The worst is when they stick a rod up inside the bone, to support the whole thing. Ugh. ---

And I have no idea how I started to hate them so much either but I go into an automatic fight or flight mode any time I spot them. After I calm down, I come back with bugspray or a flamethrower, whichever is more handy, and handle them though. And I’ve seen that before, **DarkSideoftheFloyd**. 1. Bad things happening to eyes, like being stabbed, gouged out etc. 2. Decapitation. Yet, somehow I can watch Highlander. I guess because they do it so fast you don’t really see it happen. 3. Tiny Tim. He’s just wrong. 4. Bot flies. The idea that something is inside you, EATING you is so disgusting. ---

The thought of losing some part of my body creeps me out. If I lost a finger, hand, arm, toe, foot, leg, anything…well, I don’t know, it’s not so much “creepy” as “horribly depressing,” to me. Decapitations are also creepy, but for some reason I don’t mind it when it’s in the form of cartoonish violence like in Mortal Kombat. Death creeps me out. I find it hard to believe anyone who says they aren’t at least a little creeped out by it. ---

All of mine have been mentioned already. Let me be the third with an aversion to things with lots of little holes next to one another. I don’t know why but I hate looking at things filled with holes. There was some seed pod once that was totally disgusting cause of the holes. Small spiders. Not tarantulas. Tarantulas are big and they don’t seem that fast. I can see where they are going when they start to run and can get out of there way. With the little ones they seem to dart around so quick that I am afraid they will crawl up my arm or leg before I can jump away. Injuries to one’s eyeball. As a film student I’ve seen **Un Chien Andalou** many many times. That one scene (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, be glad) does not get any prettier the 6th time you see it, let me tell you.
