Oh yeah, James Spader would definitely do a “Hardcore” scene. I think he was _thisclose_ to the line in Crash–and not just when he screws the wound in that girl’s leg. I don’t know why I nominated Ewan McGregor but not Christian Bale. Between **Velvet Goldmine** and **American Psycho** , not to mention the extreme physical changes he’s willing to make for his parts, I bet he would do something “hardcore.” ---

I would think that a porn actress becoming a respected mainstream actress would happen first. Don’t think Traci Lords is mainstream or respected enough to count. Actresses seem to cite the \*‘if it’s necessary and tasteful’ \* principle. And I doubt there are very many actresses who find penetration necessary or tasteful. Also given the occurrence of on set romances if I’m Keith Urban I’m pushing \*\*Bewitched 2: Electric Boogaloo \*\* over **Kill Husband, Frame Lover**. ---

She’s barely B-list right now, but I’d say Megan Fox would do it if the circumstances were right. Though with her I’d wager she’d be more likely to do full hardcore with another woman than a guy. ---

Hilary Swank, probably. Angelina Jolie practically already has, in that horrid **Taking Lives** movie. Heather Graham, cited in the OP (I’m having a hard time thinking of any movie she’s done where she _doesn’t_ appear naked, apart from **The Spy Who Shagged Me** ). And maybe also her **Boogie Nights** costar, Julianne Moore. ---

I don’t want explicit sex scenes in mainstream films. I don’t even like the softcore ones they have now. I don’t even want nudity in them; it seems to me that 99.99% of all stories can be written around such things without losing out. ---
