Monday’s child here. I’ve been told I’m pretty. My Akan name is Adjoa, which symbolizes peace.

Edit: I should probably explain, Akan soul names are given according to what day you’re born on. By this you can tell Kofi Annan was born on a Friday, Kwame Nkrumah on a Saturday, etc.

Friday.

Although before using the OP’s calculator I would have sworn it was on a Tuesday for some reason. I have no idea why.

I’d never thought to wonder! Thanks, **Little Nemo**. Sunday.

Both my sons were born on a Wednesday. ☹ But they were also both born on the 28th of the month, so maybe that’s a good thing.

My sister still reminds me that I ruined her day by being born during her favourite kids TV show, [Crackerjack](http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Crackerjack).

This is how I know the day and the rough time, as the show’s opening catch phrase was ‘It’s Friday, it’s five to five, it’s Crackerjack!’.

Saturday, like 2/3 of my brothers. The other one was born on a Sunday.

Kids of my family: ruining weekends since 1968.

I’m full of woe, but I don’t need that calculator to know that. I recently learned the Doomsday Method, thanks to a Doper posting about it. I can do the calculations in my head in about a minute. Because of that I know that mom was born on Monday, dad on Tuesday, me on Wednesday, brother on Thursday (Thanksgiving day, in fact), sis on Saturday, and a whole bunch more.

It’s a neat thing to learn! Useful, too. Thanksgiving this year will be on the 22nd, Halloween on a Wednesday, and Christmas on a Tuesday.

When did Armstrong and Aldrin set foot on the Moon? That was July 20, 1969, right?

1900 Doomsday was a Wednesday.

69/12 is 5 with a remainder of 9.

9/4 is 2.

5 + 9 + 2 is 16.

16 - 14 is 2

Wednesday + 2 is Friday.

Doomsday in 1969 was Friday.

7/11 is Doomsday.

9 days later is Sunday.

They walked on the Moon on a Sunday.

My 56th birthday was in a Wednesday this year. 56 X 365 = 20440. I have been around for 14 instances of February 29. 20440 + 14 = 20454. 20454 / 7= 2992.

On my 56th birthday, a Wednesday, I was 2992 weeks old, exactly. Therefore the day of my birth was a Wednesday. Q. E. D.

I don’t need your stinkin’ Day O’ the Week Calculator. Well, not for that. I know that multiples of 28 years bring you back to the day of the week that something happened on.\* My 28th wedding anniversary last year, for instance.

\*And yes, I know that I’m benefiting by having the year 2000 fall into that timeline, rather than 1900 or 2100.

Hold on.

So your birthdate is 2/29/1956?

56/12 = 4, remainder of 8, 8/2 = 4, 4 + 8 + 2 = 14, so Doomsday that year was a Wednesday. The last day of February is Doomsday, so that was a Wednesday.

Doomsday in 2012 is a Wednesday too.

Concur!

We Wednesday babies may be full of woe, but we love geeking out on this stuff. 🙂

No, May 16. If it was February 29, I would have celebrated my 14th birthday this year, having been around for 15 instances of February 29, and my 56th birthday wouldn’t be until 2184.

Oops, my bad. But May 16th is Doomsday in those years too.

Is your mom the numerologist under the impression that the clocks change over at a time OTHER than 2:00 a.m. (bringing you to 3:00 a.m. in the spring and back to 1:00 a.m in the fall)? 12:31 a.m. doesn’t enter into it.

Sunday. I know because my mom tells the story of how she was watching “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” on Saturday night while my dad was out shooting pool with his brother-in-law when she went into labor. She washed her hair, he came home, they went to the hospital, and I was born about five hours later.

(For future reference, as I write this, every day other than Monday has 16-20 births. Monday has eight.)

What day would it be if you were exactly straddling a time zone when giving birth, and it was the midnight hour on one side and the 11pm hour on the other?
