# What did Nazi soldiers do in the concentration camps?

I am doing a research project on ww2 and I need to find out what the responsibilities/roles were of the nazi soldiers IN the concentration camps. I’ve done some research about the guards, but thats about it. I am having a really hard time coming up with some research about this topic.

But, nothing like a [first person account](https://archive.org/details/AYearInTreblinka).

And, remember, the death camps and the concentration camps were very different things (with Auschwitz and to a lesser extent, [Majdanek](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majdanek_concentration_camp), having elements of both).
