Any idea how many Rabbis/chaplains served? Can’t be that many, and even fewer as POWs.

Not disbelieving you, but the number must be extraordinarily few.

Another state honor for Sgt. Edmonds in Israel. Good news article, with new (to me) details; even better: has 10-minute video of wonderful talk by his son, Chris Edmonds, Pastor at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Maryville, TN.

It follows last year’s placement among the Righteous at Yad Vashem–probably as meaningful a recognition you can get “officially” in Israel. (Article from last year on that; mentions bizarre connection to Nixon’s apartment hunting…)
