# What did you do with your 5000th post?

People say post count doesn’t matter, and that it’s inaccurate anyway. I say shut up and go away.
This will be post #4996 (I think) so I am pretty close.
I am also a shameless attention seeker as you may know by now. So I probably should make my 5000th post interesting in some way.
Or I might have my humble head on and deliberately waste it by posting ‘Hit by a bus’ in the 'predict the death of the previous poster, or something equally pointless.
Either way, I am curious as to what other dopers did with their 5000th or other large milestone post. This thread is not aimed at stealing one of those ideas (you never know though). It is just that the relevance of my current post count has given me the idea to ask what other people did, out of curiosity.

I’m not much help, either… haven’t reached 5000 yet myself. Although I do remember the days when you were behind me in post count… not that it matters. 😉

What to do with a 5000th post:
1. Make a T-shirt slogan out of it
2. Drop it from a tall building, and see it it bounces, or goes “squish!”
3. Take it to a fancy restaurant, order up large, then leave it to pay the bill.

I’ll be making plans for my 500 and 1,000. Maybe. I did nothing for my 100.
