Pretty much what you see of me here is how I am in real life. I also am one of the few here who post with my real name -which isn’t a very common first name. Anyone who sees that here and knows me will think of me first I’m sure. Plus, my sig line will verify it to anyone who DOES know me. ---

In my profession (prof.) I make it a point to unload sometimes useless git on my fellow doper buddies. But in the lecture hall…people are generally paying big bucks to be there so I tend to be a bit more interesting and worth listening to. My students do not know I frequent the SDMB and that is a good thing. 🙂 ---

Mostly because it’s been asked on the board and is not frequently asked IRL: when I lost my virginity and how, and other details of my sexual history. I don’t exactally hide this in person, but it doesn’t often come up in conversation. I do actively hide how much of a geek I am and how totally sprung I am on my husband,\*\* Drachillix\*\*. I come into a lot of teasing about it, so I tone it down for my friends. They believe I merely love him to pieces. I have a nephew who’s a Doper, but he’s pretty cool and has never so much as mentioned to me any of my posts and I don’t comment on his. ---

That’s why I find the Dope so very refreshing and appreciate my involvement here more and more. ---

In RL, I tend to come across as a rather straight-up fellow, although I’m told I tell jokes well. Very few people who know me personally today know about some of the weirder incidents in my past. I like to think I pretty much got it out of my system, then… ---

I don’t tell everyone that I’ve worked in retail porn or about the odd sensations that I enjoy (too lazy to cite the thread). I don’t offer just anyone a list of my hobbies and favorite past times. I don’t talk about the threesome I had before my ill-fated marriage. I never tell people that I almost worked in a brothel in Vegas or that I touched a porn star’s fake breast but all of these things I felt you Dopers would enjoy knowing… tee hee! I’m only slightly kidding. It’s very easy for me share online. IRL, it’s hard because the person is RIGHT there in front of you and what if they judge you? My SO knows everything I’ve ever done or experienced, good or bad. ---
