We voted these people into office, we trusted them to look after us, look at how they repay our trust.
Our parliament is supposed to be supreme, our politicians are supposed to uphold the laws they make.
They are supposed to be a good role model outside the political arena and we citizens are supposed to look up to them for guidance. Yet these very people are shown to be engulfed by greed and cheating, are they fit to legislate for us?
It’s all a mistake,my accountants can’t do their sums,I’m innocent. These are the pathetic bleats we’ve been hearing from our ‘trusted’ MPs now that they’ve been found with their fingers in the till.
The sooner we get rid of these incompetent idiots who didn’t know whether or not they had mortgages or paid the correct amount of council tax, matters of which even the lesser intelligent of us would have been aware of.
Another favourite excuse for what is nothing more than a scandalous fraud of taxpayers money, is that our MPs were only abiding by the rules.
These rules, in the minds of some, seem to include patio furniture, duck houses, 40" plasma TV sets and all other manner of other luxuries which most people, even those on large salaries, would hesitate to to buy because of the expense.
But it doesn’t matter when the taxpayer is going to pay does it?.
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, all the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time”
As a famous American statesman once said.
