# What do I need to do to nominate a thread for the home page ?

Further, are there restrictions ? For instance, I think that the “Smut Shop Employees” thread is very much “fighting ignorance”. Yet it is, of course, sort of racey.

If that is not a problem I would like to nominate it officially.

I assume you are asking about Weird Earl’s section on the StraightDope Homepage. If so, **Mr. Ed Zotti** has a thread called [Weird Earl’s](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=2566) where you can enter your nomination and I’m sure he is capable of deciding if it is appropriate or not.

Actually, your best bet, for both Threadspotting and Weird Earl nominations is to email them to me . . . I make sure they get vetted and to Ed, he chooses from there.

In fact, we’re a little low on Threadspottings, so y’all speak up. God knows we got enough material, we need your help to uncover our diamonds in the greater rough of the board, if you know what I mean (and I’m sure that you do).

I guess I should pay more attention to the question before answering. Since it didn’t have anything to do with Weird Earl’s, I should have referred it to Tuba in the first place or just kept my nose out of it and let her answer.
