I agree. Most of what made the Chef funny was the visual puns (“chickey in de baskey,” “chocolate moose”), the silly things that happened (the spaghetti crawled away, the cake started to talk, Mexican lobster banditos who rescue a lobster from the pot), and the chef’s own silly miming and throwing stuff and making a mess. Very little of that required any language.
