During Christopher Eccleston’s tenure on _Doctor Who_, one of the running jokes was:

Guest: “You’re from another planet?”  
Doctor: “Yes.”  
Guest: “Then why do you have a northern accent?”  
Doctor: “Lots of planets have a north!”

What accent was he doing as the Ninth Doctor?
