If someone were to read every post I’ve ever posted, motivated perhaps by an apocalyptic onset of ennui, they would learn the following: (1) I’m a single guy (32) who flirts a lot, usually not very successfully (2) I love putting things in little lists (3) I love arguing, and frequently natter on at great length, and use way more words than really necessary to make whatever point I’m trying to make (4) I play **Magic: The Gathering** to excess. OK, that’s a lie, there is no such thing as an excess of **Magic: The Gathering** (5) I love little kids (6) I’m very into **Buffy, 24, Lost, Deadwood, The Office** and **The Wire** (7) I love broadway shows (8) I read a ton Other things about me that are probably not easily deducible from the SDMB: (1) I just had my tonsils out (2) I play racquetball (3) I have a Jew-Fro A few of the things people have posted in this thread are news to me… I had a fairly clear idea who **Asimovian** was, but no idea he was black, and had somehow convinced myself that **Surrender Dorothy** was a middle aged gay guy. ---

Male Way past 21 – Depending on what day it is, I’m a training instructor, recruitment manager, HR guy or quality assurance coordinator (I’m trying to negotiate for four times my present salary but am not making much headway) – Photographer, of sorts – Baseball fan – Transport fan (trains, planes or ships, I like 'em all) – The only living things I should ever be trusted with are plants, and hardy ones at that – Am a somewhat liberal atheist living in one of the most Republican, surburban- Christian enclaves in the country. It may come as a surprise, or even a shock, but I love and adore all things Hello Kitty. Have since I was 9 years old…and I just turned 41. Discovered Cecil Adams in 1984 during my teenage shoplifting days…pocketed the original “The Straight Dope” book along with a couple candy bars from the local Woolworths. I also enjoy elipses… Huge fan of the Sci Fi Channel’s **Battlestar Galactica** and all things Star Trek Sports junkie, I listen to sports radio all the time, drives my husband nuts. I’d like to post more, but many times what I want to say is said better by someone else, and I don’t like to post to a thread just to agree with someone. So I do alot of lurking. ---

Things you may know from my posting history: I’m 20 years old. I am a History major at Indiana University. I’ve lived all my life in Bloomington, Indiana, but was born in Glen Cove, NY. I’m a huge music fan but mostly lean towards indie rock and electronica (Wagon Christ, Squarepusher, Shpongle, to name a few.) I play bass, saxophone and electric organ in a band called GHYSCH. I am an obsessive devotee of R. Crumb’s comics and writing. I have a Honda CB750F motorcycle. I love big gas guzzling trucks and 4x4s. I have been with my girlfriend for 10 months now. I have variously worked as a sign installer and painter, at a gardening center, a hardware store, a deli, a telemarketing company (for three miserable days) and most recently as an overnight “flow team member” (Orwellian for stockboy) at the flourescent, red-and-white hell known as “Target.” I have liberal beliefs but I don’t trust any politicians, so I have no enthusiasm for or interest in politics. I am eagerly awaiting the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Things you might not know: I also paint and draw prolifically. I have played hockey, rugby, and wrestled in the past. I hate mainstream sports, especially football which bores me to death. My favorite writers are Tom Wolfe, Chuck Palahniuk and Jim Goad. I am a contributor to the website amiannoying.com under the alias “Big Papa” - I’m the author of dozens of “resumes” and collections (one of which, “Hebrew Hotties,” was discussed on the Howard Stern Show and is linked at the top of the website.) My great-uncle was the producer of the ridiculous Shaq movie “STEEL.” No joke. ---

Um, not sure how much of this is public knowledge yet, my posting history is small and widely spread out. I live in Houston, Tx, was born here and am now going to college at the University of Houston. I work at the law library on campus (any houston lawyers out there?) My house caught on fire when I was in 4th grade, and then flooded in 7th grade. I have my baby, a black Protege5 named Lonan. I do beading and jewelry making for fun. I absolutely love tea, and have a dresser drawer in my dorm dedicated to my tea collection. I also love bubble tea, and would have it more often if it wasn’t so expensive. I have drusen in my eyes (hard drusen, was born with it and the only reason anyone knows is because it makes my optic nerve appear swollen) I love reading, particularily fiction and fantasy. I am very eagerly awaiting the renaissance festival this year. I think thats about it for now, short of dredging through my posts thats all I can think of. ---

Almost 27 years old. Web designer by profession. Overthinks exchanges with people and is often indecisive about what emotion I should be feeling. Drive a Jeep Wrangler and believe any other vehicle made by Jeep isn’t REALLY a Jeep. Used to be a fatty, but lost weight with only self-control and exercise, but have trouble maintaining. Understanding and forgiving in nature. ---

Female Works for a Univeristy as a lab manager in immunology research. Spends a lot of time telling undergraduated students to behave or be gone. Attends same Univeristy as a part-time student. Has a bad case of academic ennui. Recently married. Has an ex-husband. (People are surprised to hear that I’m married. No one seemed surprised that I was divorced.)
