Out of curiosity, what do most women (assuming heterosexual) think when they are in the presence of scantily clad women in a business establishment (i.e., Hooters?) ---

One data point: I was asked to chaperone a bachelorette party once. They needed a chaperone because they wanted to go to a strip club (for men) and they couldn’t get in with out a male escort. I took a hard pass on that one. ---

How would that stop them? I figure a good percentage of male strippers are gay anyhow. Demanding male escorts for groups of women is flagrantly sexist and condescending. And to answer the OP’s question about how a woman feels being around scantily clad women at a business which demands it, I would feel indifference because I know the women are dressed that way because their workplace makes them do it. It’s like a uniform. ---

My initial read of Grrr’s first post was that he was asked to chaperone, and thus the evening was planned, in advance; not that the party just showed up and were turned away at the door. Checking again, it doesn’t say one way or the other. If the visit was impromptu, it’s a bit presumptuous for them to call a friend and ask him to drop whatever he’s doing just to get them into a strip club. ---

I doubt your theory. I’d say it’s more likely they’re keeping out hookers. There is, after all, no sex in the champagne room. But lead a guy outside the building - and therefore no longer making money for the proprietor - and there most certainly CAN be sex in the parking lot. ---

I’m a guy, but I’ve been with women in this kind of situation, and they have made comments to me like “Wow she has nice boobs”. But not out of lust, just admiration. Or yeah, in some cases lust. ---

actually its recently a thing for the last 15 years or so for women to go in strip clubs sometimes for the lulz sometimes its for the girls like a guy would …. sometimes its with the bf/husband ….
