I think it’s a PRC-90, but I’m not sure. It’s been several years since I ‘completed’ the collection. When I moved in 2003 I packed everything away. A fine collector I turned out to be!
One day I’ll get a mannequin and display a set of gear with him sitting in my A-7E ejection seat.
Well, I’m trying to get a representative from each major conflict that America participated in during the 20th century - WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf.
The rest aren’t really a “collection”, just a bunch of guns that I like. I could start a single action .45LC collection, I’d LOVE to collect Ruger No. 1’s and/or other single-shot rifles, or old lever-action rifles, or Makarov’s would be much cheaper and kind of cool, but I’m not sure I’m that into them. Or or or or…
Well, as I noted previously, I have an urge to collect a Mauser of every caliber and issuing country. This should keep me busy for years, seeing as they were used over half the planet at one time or another. I’d like them to be in issue-condition, but that is secondary. Otherwise I couldn’t count my Argentine 1891 Mauser in 7.65mm, which a previous owner cut down, sporterized, and generally made a sweet little hunting piece out of.
