I’m a manager at Wendy’s, at least for now. Come September I’m cutting down to a supervisor status (still technically a manager, but without a lot of the responsibility), and going back to school. I haven’t decided what’s to come after school yet… ---

I am a customer service trainer for a leading residential real estate web site’s call center. I write curriculum, survey representatives for areas of opporunity, train and coach new hires, maintain our online knowledge base, develop customer service related processes, facilitate ongoing training for representatives and ocassionally train our customers to use the services they’ve paid us for. It pays the bills, but I’m envious of those who can break out of the 9 to 5 safety zone to follow their artistic talent. I settle for karaoke on Wednesdays, photoshopping on slow work days and continually re-writing the same first chapter of a novel that will take 17 years to finish at this rate. 😉 ---

Some of you guys have really cool jobs. Hopefully I’ll be able to find one of these when I graduate. Currently a student with just over a year left of my degree. Then I’ll be trying to find a job as a philosopher. So far I haven’t been able to figure out exactly what companies are in the market for a philosopher, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to find one when I do graduate. ---

I teach English comp, lit. and sometimes creative writing at a community college. (I don’t do this in the summer.) I am also an assessment specialist, scoring tests so as to place incoming students into English or ESL. (I do this mostly in summer and as needed the rest of the academic year.) I work with the faculty association as well (fall and spring only except for emergency meetings), and I am a freelance writer, editor and proofreader (any time). ---

Veterinarian. My SO though, has a cool job in advertising. She and her coworkers spend a good deal of time joking around, “brainstorming”, goofing off, etc trying to be creative. ---
