I’m not sure about legal, but most folks aboard aren’t paying much attention. They’ll see a man running & screaming something about “gun”; the rest will be lost in confusion and their earbuds. At least one hero or deadheading crew member will be all over you. Whether the law pounds you later depends on the breaks. A pounding right now is pretty well guaranteed. ---

I agree with that approach, but I also think it’s always good advice not to touch a gun that is found in an unexpected spot. If the authorities dust it and your fingerprints aren’t on it, that bolsters your story. If your fingerprints are on it, they need to to do some digging to confirm that you just touched it when you found it. ---
