I expect they chose Chicago because DJT wants to stick it to Gov. Pritzker and they are hoping there will be a chance of violence from protesters. The Orange One would love a chance to invoke the Insurrection Act in a sanctuary city and put it under martial law. ---

Most Trump supporters are lower income whites. I am afraid they will continue to support Trump, even if their incomes decline further during his administration. ---

Chicago has been the go-to example of “democrat city - BAD” for decades now. It’s why the crime rate of Chicago is always cited when there are significantly worse cities from a crime standpoint. Magnify the problems and downplay the successes of a city that is tightly coupled conceptually with Democrats.
