Heh. I like various physical types. When I see a hot guy, I donā€™t even think whether I have a chance with himā€¦ I just like lookinā€™. You can like looking at the Mona Lisa without needing to bring it home with you. That said, Iā€™m really all about the short redheaded British punky bois right now šŸ˜‰ ---

My brother believes that men value physical beauty more than women. He says that men also value things like personality and brains, but if the physical attraction isnā€™t there right at the beginning, theyā€™ll pass. I have no idea how true this is. But Iā€™ve been on dates with men whom I wouldnā€™t target in a bar. I probably wouldnā€™t even have described some of them as handsome on the first date. But as I got to know them, I began to appreciate more and more aspects of their physical appearance. Having said all that, most of the men Iā€™ve dated had dark hair and brown eyes. Canā€™t go wrong with a nice pair of eyes. ---

Of course, that said, for health reasons I would want someone who snores to get help for it. I was looking forward to someone making a spin-off thread about what types of men Dopers found pleasing to look at, (hoping there are SOME women who dig men who are short, not because they themselves are short, but just because theyā€™re into guys who can buy childrenā€™s cloths and save money! Me being 5ā€™5" and all). I didnā€™t expect it to be in the Pit!! Iā€™m sorry, I just donā€™t understand the ā€œpittingā€. ---

I actually _donā€™t_ like really attractive guys. I get too intimidated by them and end up acting like a freakinā€™ idiot. Iā€™ve always been attracted to big, husky guys. Bigger the better. Of course, most of my Xā€™s are on the smallish side. Go figure. ---

The ladies should check out a military base sometime. Thousands of men who are in shape and seem to fit the descriptions given here. The married personnel mostly live off base and are off limits anyways. Most of the bachelors live in a barracks, and from what Iā€™ve seen and heard, the crack of dawn isnā€™t safe so be careful. I havenā€™t heard any mention or requirements that a man must look good in a uniform yet. ---

Hmm. Taller than me, but Iā€™m only 5ā€™5" or so. Clean and confident. Usually not blond, but I have been known to make exceptions. Usually cleanshaven, but I have been known to make exceptions. In fact, the guy Iā€™m currently vaguely interested in (though heā€™s distant, le sigh) is both blond and bearded, and he looks mightyfine to me. But mostly I like brown curly hair, like mine oddly enough, and smiling eyes. Doesnā€™t matter what color. Lanky preferred to muscular or chubby, but again, looks are less important than most things. Major turnoffs would be grossly overweight individuals (weā€™re talking larger than me), anyone poorly groomed (you donā€™t need a crew cut, but you do need to wash that mop once in a while, and trim yer freakinā€™ beard), those little tiny patches of beard (I want to just reach out and _rip_!), and being poorly dressed (Wash your T-shirt. Wash your baseball cap once in a while. Do you even have a shirt with buttons?) But I like a sense of humor and a bright, friendly smile and a quick wit and a great laugh more than all this. Being entertaining and gentlemanly will cover up just about any physical flaws as far as Iā€™m concerned.
