Inspired by [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=75137), what do you find incredibly sexy? For me it’s compassion, intelligence, a warm smile and hearty laugh. Captivating eyes are a huge turn on, be they early morning sky blue, chocolate pudding brown, or garden after rain green. Ever the insomniac, Abby P.S. Ear and nose hair are turnoffs, please trim or pluck! (Don’t take offense, it’s a joke.) 😃 Upon review, I realize that in all likelyhood this has been done before. I just thought it seemed to go with the other thread. ---

Turn ons: Sailors, 'nuff said. (or any uniform for that matter). Turn offs: excessive hair on any part of the body, most especially the back. And a screechy voice. ---

Yeah, there is also [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=54585) thread, but I suppose it never hurts to have more threads about the sexual preferences of our fellow Dopers. As I’ve mentioned before, my turn-ons are females with any of the following attributes/accessories: Asian, tall, baseball caps, punk, kimonos, long straight hair, small/medium breasts. Denim is also sort of a turn-on for me. I don’t go wild over it, but I think it looks good on a lot of women. I’m also turned on by the smell of mothballs, for reasons I’d rather not go into again. –sublight. ---

Intelligence. Accents. A sense of humor. Great eyes, especially the type framed by thick dark lashes. Dark, longish, thick hair. Weird, Shallow, Gross - it must be jarbaby’s list: Treasure Trails on nice, flat, muscley stomachs are sexy Guys who can smoke and talk with the cigarette gripped between their lips are sexy. But not every guy can do this. It’s a talent and style that I can’t quite articulate. I only know two guys right now who can do it. Crooked lips are sexy. Ken Olin has crooked lips, so does Titus Welliver and Till Lindemann. Yumsky. Guys who wear rings are sexy. Whispering is sexy and Power is sexy. **Accents.** Virginian race car driver Elliott Sadler has the sexiest accent I have ever heard in my life (he says ‘mo’ for ‘more’! Could it be cuter?). **Gunslinger** has the second-sexiest accent (the way he says words that rhyme with “you” is especially adorable, somehow). I love to learn, so I find **teaching me things** to be sexy. At least as long as you’re not being uppity about it. Like, again with Gunslinger, he’s teaching me about classic cars. This tends to go hand-in-hand with **intelligence**. I’m a motor junkie, so of course I find **mechanicky guys** to be super-sexy. The smell of engine grease is the scent of happiness\*. Also, a **sense of humor** is an absolute MUST-HAVE. I am a very quirky, sarcastic, and strange person, so it takes a special kind of guy to appreciate my sense of humor, to laugh at me and make me laugh. To get a little more shallow, I love **dark hair** , especially worn spiked. I dont like mustaches alone, nor do I like full beards, but **goatees** are sexy, and so is having **just a touch of stubble**. You know, more than a shadow but less than the deadly sandpaper effect. It’s a fine line. 😉 Nice strong muscley **forearms** are a turn-on, too. I’ll stop there. [sup]\* Conversely, the smell of wasabi is the scent of unhappiness.[/sup] ---
