What do you have a degree in?

AB, Ph.D., both in mathematics.
I think AB is Ars Baccalaureat.

I’m interested :), but I am probably too dumb for you since I only have a BA in Anthropology /archaeology.

Obligatory Blackadder quote:

I have a pre-secondary degree in Life and fully expect to eventually complete my post-secondary degree in Death. I hear the dissertation is a killer…

In that field, wherever you go, the men are already there!

I gots several degrees. But most importantly, I have a Masters degree.

In Science!

*Microbiology. I did a thesis and everything.

You know more than I do.
I have a BA in Communications with a double concentration in corporate and broadcast communications.

I have a Masters in Network and Communication Management.

I have a BBA ing Marketing but spent a little time in HR. I violently agree about the soul-sucking aspects. I recently returned to college and am concurrently pursuing psychology and sociology degrees. I’m in my third quarter and love and appreciate it. I’m so grateful I can do this. I’m undecided what I’ll specifically end up doing although I want to be in a position to help cancer patients. I have a prof already talking to me about grad school. Wha…!!! I wasn’t planning on it!

Idle, try out one of the sites offering free university classes like Coursera, EdX or Udacity. I took nine courses on Coursera which is part of what sparked my idea to go back. I was glad I did because I got my first degree in 1992 and things have changed a lot. A LOT. Everything’s on-line now! It would’ve been a very steep learning curve if I hadn’t familiarized myself with the online environment via Coursera.

BSEE and MBA. Nothing all that special, the guy sitting beside me now has the exact same degrees.

I have a BA in Integrative Biology, with an emphasis in paleontology and evolution, from UC Berkeley. Despite being in the College of Letters and Sciences, UCB did not offer a BS in Biology at the time I attended; just a BA.

My university didn’t offer a BS in Bio either, despite being a top tier research university. Now they do, so it’s makes my BA look funny.

But really, it doesn’t bother me.

Much.

Associate of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Technology - which is the only one that I actually use to earn a living.

BS and MS in Industrial Engineering, or as the MEs and EEs like to say “Imaginary Engineering”

BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering.

Bachelors of Fire Science, with a concentration in fire and explosion investigation. I wanted to switch to fire protection engineering at the end of my junior year, but it would add another three semesters. Investigation it is, then.

Followed the BS with a Masters of Public Administration 12 years later. Again, started down the engineering path, but the MPA just worked better career-wise.

BA in Chemistry
MD in fixing sick people
(Not sure what I would do if I needed to find a job with my undergraduate degree)

BA in Anthropology(second one on the thread, wouldn’t have thought that)
DDS

BA in journalism. I’m not a journalist.

Had a great time getting the degree and I think it was a great launching pad to being a well-rounded individual.

Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Science

Getting the degree was still harder than any job I’ve had since (and I’ve worked in industry for 12 years now.) I wish I could find it, but they had a great powerpoint put together by seniors for incoming first-years. Gist of it, and the quote that always stuck with me, is “They’re trying to produce engineers, not whiners.” The other quote I remember was scrawled on a pilot-sized lab reactor - “Chem E - you can sleep when you’re dead”

That said, the jobs it’s led me to have all been interesting and they pay well. And it’s always remarkable to think, even when jobs get stressful - “This job is tough, but it’s still nothing as bad as that brutal summer lab I had to take senior year”

If you did your bar in ON, you’ve also got the degree of Barrister at Law.
