Mothers Day includes your mom, mother-in-law, or the mother of your children. There’s usually somebody special you want to honor on Mothers Day. 😃 Tells us what you have planned May 13. ---

I just ordered my flowers from FTD to be delivered Thursday, May 10. **Poll Option** _Giving the mother of my children some special loving_ - can be anything special, candle light dinner, breakfast in bed, foot massage, sex, whatever you feel works. ---

I picked other. All of my sibs and I and our assorted spouses will converge on Mom’s on Saturday to help her open her pool for the season, then have a cookout. It’s not like a tradition or anything - it just worked out that way. On actual Mother’s Day, I’ll be home chilling. I’ll have to remind my spousal unit to call his mom. ---

And this is not multi-choice because? It’ll be some combination of sending her a present and calling. When I still lived in the old country, my siblings and I took her to dinner, but now that I am in flyover country many miles away, I will not be able to join them. Impersonal present accompanied by a phone call it is. ---

I figured out what to send my mom today. I have to make it first. It won’t be ready to send on time. She expects this of me. My son will likely forget - he gets it from me. I don’t hold it against him. I will remind him to call his grandmothers and step-mom who do care about Mothers’ Day. ---

I will go to my mother’s house and do some yard work for her. Then, I will steam some lobsters for dinner. They are her favourite. ---

Last year I donated to Meals on Wheels in her honor for Mother’s Day, and I can just hear her saying, “Well, that’s all very well and good, dear, but I’d just as soon not be _dead_.” ---

I haven’t ordered Flowers in awhile. I was surprised that half of FTD’s flower arrangements were manufactured gosh knows where & shipped by Fed Ex. The rest of the items were the traditional ones made by a local Florist and delivered. I prefer having the flower arrangement made locally and hand delivered. Somehow, flowers crammed in a Fed Ex box just don’t send the same message of love. 😉 I was careful when ordering to pick one that was made by a local FTD florist. ---

Other - My mother is dead, my future mother in law is a Jehovah’s Witness, and I don’t have any kids yet, so I actually don’t have any reason to observe Mother’s Day. I’ve come to terms with the loss of my mom, so Mother’s Day is not particularly painful to me, but it’s still super awkward when people ask me what my mother’s day plans are because then THEY feel bad if I tell them the truth about my mom being dead (often I try to avoid telling them that if I think it can be avoided). So as a public service announcement to people who might use this to make conversation: Be careful asking people about Mother’s Day unless you’re sure that their mom is alive and well. 🙂 ---

My mother-in-law is dead. My son is divorced and living in California. My husband will be away on business that day, So I’ll probably go to the movies by myself. That sounds pathetic, but it’s just another made-up holiday day to me. ---

My mother is dead. My mother-in-law - well the less said about her the better. I plan on going to work as I do almost every Sunday of the year. ---

My mom is working, so I will probably just call her. I took her out to lunch this week. She lives about an hour off, so I likely won’t see her again until the end of the month. **Suburban Plankton** and **Ledzepkid** are taking me to the Sacramento River Cats baseball game - good seats. This has been our tradition for some years now. I love it. ---

My mother-in-law wants us to take her to the mall and to the Melting Pot for chocolate fondue. That will probably be the day before Mother’s Day. We’re going to my grandma’s house with my mom on Mother’s Day. My mom isn’t comfortable with receiving gifts. When I’ve asked what she wants in the past, she says nothing, and she means it.
