I like the lights, but I prefer understated, and a little goes a long way. Our own decorations are also low-key.
I like being able to buy anise cookies, which are only sold in Novemer/December. I can make them myself, but they’re not quite the same.

I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I love the music. I know it’s not for everyone, but for me it just brings so much joy. I have a playlist of my favorites, but I also try to seek out and listen to new Christmas songs every year.

Finding the perfect gift for someone and watching them open it
The coziness - couch, blanket, dogs, snacks and tv
For me, it’s the time off more than anything. At this point, this year’s Xmas break is a bit of a rehearsal for my retirement which will be in about five months.
All the various trappings (Christian or otherwise) are irrelevant to me and just stuff many feel obligated to do.
