# What do you like better: good sex or a good massage?

I´m gonna go out on a limb here and say that when in need of sex or in need of a nice massage, I prefer a massage better than sex.
Don´t get me wrong, sex is great and good and fun but I just like a nice relaxing massage better.
I´m probably going to get laughed at in this thread, but there I said it.
So, fellow Dopers, what do you prefer: good sex or a good massage?

Sex. Massages make me feel oogy and I don’t like them, really, except for maybe the occasional shoulder rub or back scratch situation. Sex, on the other hand, is a magical experience (when done properly) and makes me feel like my body is made entirely of liquid happy.

Define good sex. Because really, ‘good sex’ sort of implies that something’s lacking, or else it’d be ‘great sex.’ I’d definitely choose a great massage over so-so sex, though. And IME, a masseur/se either has it or s/he doesn’t. From the first touch of their fingertips, you know if it’s going to be amazing or just some stranger kneading away at you.

What’s wrong with a good massage followed by good sex?
Serious answer, depends on what I need at the time. If I’m in back pain and needing a massage then I’m probably not feeling up for sex anyway.

As a CMT, I’d certainly say so. Or at least, they’re very slightly offset areas in the same continuum.
Of course, people vary widely in their experience of the boundary between them. But putting it to a choice seems like a strange juxtaposition to me.

Ah, _that’s_ my problem. I remember having a really good orgasm once, but after that sex has been something worth forgetting and almost worth regretting were it not for the creation of my daughter.
A massage on the other hand would be something I’d feel a lot more confident in giving.

My old girlfriend was the best lay of my life, easily in the top five most beautiful women I’ve ever met (professional model on the side) and a licensed massage therapist.
I can say with utmost confidence that I will choose the massage just about every time. Though I might be skewing the result as it almost always ended in sex.

I’d have to go with sex as well. Never had a massage worth the time it took to get it. And that includes from professionals.
And while I’ve had some really great sex, I’ve never had a pro…
So I guess that amatuer sex is better than a professional massage for me.

Precisely, and I think some of the best sex I’ve ever had was preceded by (mutual) massage. The whole tactile experience just really gets me revved up.
That $8 bottle of massage oil was probably the best ROI I’ve ever gotten on ANYTHING.
