Books (non music) on my MP3 player or other, I’d guess.
By “talk satellite radio” I mean I mostly listen to the comedy stations, with some NPR stuff tossed in. I don’t listen to political stations or opinion crap.
BBC Radio 4.
Either music stored on my phone or the music and comedy channels on SiriusXM.
For years I commuted by motorcycle and while some people listen to headphones while they ride, I’ve always felt that was a littke reckless. Having gotten used to that, I don’t listen to anything in my truck. I’ve never been much for radio because it seems to be mostly ads or DJs talking, and the truck only has a cassette player and I haven’t dug out my old tapes, though I’m looking forward to listening to my some of them after all these years.
Podcasts and music on the iPhone; NPR and alt-rock on the radio.
I just jam a full 16GB thumb drive in the usb slot and hit shuffle. Usually has to be something punchy , the classical stuff doesn’t really make it through the road noise.
Local NPR station (news, not music), Sirius XM (mostly 90s) and Spotify (either my own playlist, or their genre radio stations).
I only have around 12 songs on my iPhone, and I’m really sick of them, so that’s out
On my way to work I listen to Michael Smerconish on satellite POTUS.station, and music from the 70s and 80s.
During football season I’ll also listen to sports radio for my Seahawk fix, but usually only 29 minutes or so at a time
Not a thing. My life doesn’t need a soundtrack.
My local public radio stations, either the news and public affairs (and quiz) shows, or when what’s on there is intolerable (I’m looking at you, Michael Krasny) I listen to classical music or jazz.
Underspecified OP.
Music on a micro SD card plugged into the USB port. Can go a long time before repeating.
Usually music on a USB drive plugged into the sound system. Occasionally (depending on what’s on), I’ll put on the local NPR station.
I’m pretty sure that counts as “music on a media player.”
Yep – I got a car with a jack for it, so I copied many of my CDs* to an iPod and added quite a bit from amazon downloads.
*I still have a number of them to copy – a project for my next vacation!
I commute by train with an iPhone. It varies, depending on mood. In the morning, often news on the CBC app. Otherwise, music, usually classic rock or jazz on Apple Music or Amazon music apps. Coming home, some times sports podcasts or history podcasts, other times music.
Audiobooks on my iPhone when I’m alone. When I’m with my husband, either music or a podcast on my iPhone.
Sports talk radio in the morning, AOR radio in the afternoon. Only have a 20 minute commute each way.
A bunch of ancient tapes.
I used to enjoy radio in the car, but starting about 5 years ago, one large media group bought up every radio station in the metro area and turned them into incredibly predictable formula radio. They are so predictable that I can tell you that every morning at 7:35 am there will be an Eagles song played and that it will be one of only 3 that ever get air time. At 5:55 pm, there will be a Led Zeppelin song played, one of 4-5 that they ever play. I can’t tell you how irate this has made me, child of AOR radio that I am. So I decided to boycott radio and listen to MP3s exclusively. It makes for a smooth, pleasant, happy commute and a much less attitudinal me when I finally show up to either work or home.
