Well I really miss Beef on Weck.

Things I miss about Kentucky:
Cardinal birds
Fireflies
Creeks that had water in them
Mountains that had trees and oxygen at the top
Spooky Romanesque-style Victorian houses that seemed to be watching you as you walked by
Grass

Things I don’t miss: The weather, the good ol’ boy political network

squeegee, you live in Gilroy. Gilroy’s restaurants are not a good sampling of California, as you know. Gotta go up to the 'nince to find good pizza. And there’s a new Italian beef sandwich joint up at The Plant, at Tully and Monterey Road in San Jose. Couldn’t tell you if it compares favorably, though.

OneCentStamp has it correct. Austin most definitely is not like the rest of Texas. It’s actually a decent place.

I grew up in a tiny fishing village in New Zealand. I miss the peace and solitude.
