The OP pretty much covered it. Speech impediment jokes, fake foreign accents, and get-back-to-the-kitchen-woman jokes never made me laugh. I don’t find them particularly tasteless or crude; I just don’t find them funny. On the other hand, [this](http://derp.memebase.com/2011/02/13/hurr-durr-derp-face-urch-enema/) (SFW) gets me in stitches every time I see it. I have no idea why. Humor is inexplicable. ---

I can’t find the quote but I’m sure I once heard Eddie Haskell say, “nothing’s mean if it’s funny enough.” Something like that. That said, I’ve never liked practical jokes. Don’t get why it’s funny that you made someone wet or bleeding in an unsual way that they didn’t see coming. ---

I am sort of the opposite of some - six months from now, I won’t find Japanese earthquake jokes funny, because they aren’t topical. I remember the 9/11 joke thread. I found it almost unbearably funny, and not even in a cathartic way - it was just funny. Cringe humor, though - not funny. And especially not comedians saying “fuck” for a cheap laugh. Awkward humor- as in hidden cam shows where the goal is to make the mark appear as awkward and weirded out as possible. Borat to a lesser extent. I just end up feeling sorry for whoever is being goofed on. ---

I don’t think most black comedians are funny at all. With few exceptions their acts are interchangeable. “Black people are cool and hip while white people are lame”. That shit is old, brothers! ---

I agree on the marriage jokes. If marriage is such a trap, then get divorced, it’s allowed nowadays. For a while here on the Dope there was a whole bunch of men who referred to their wives as “SWMBO” - she who must be obeyed. That smacks of so much…ick that I finally said something about it. Really? Your marriage is that one-sided? You think it’s funny to joke about that? I don’t actually mind jokes about animals, but coming up to someone and making a joke about their dog to their face is pretty goddamn rude. Back to the humiliation humor - I thought Borat was pretty funny until I found that a lot of people in the movie had either no idea what he was doing, or only a partial idea until he took it to the next level. Much less funny and I haven’t watched it since. There are still funny parts, mainly the parts when it’s just him and his toady but some of it is just awful. ---

When Caucasians go around calling themselves “gringos” as if its some kind of cute silly nickname for them. I dot care how many Hispanics tell you that its NOT OFFENSIVE ITS JUST A SWEET NICKNAME, I stand my ground that it is NOT, it is in fact an offensive term used for “white people” and it is derogatory (even if the person using it doesnt mean it bad, you cant change the fact that it is an offensive word). People try to justify it saying, “well its not used for white people its used to refer to people from america”. This is completely incorrect. All white girls can be called gringas, and white girls only, regardless of where they are from. I always see people giving themselves nicknames online like “little gringa” or " el gringo" and they think its so funny and original and I Want to say, “you do realize that hispanics use that term to insult white people dont you? So why are you using it like some kind of term of endearment”? It would be like a Mexican going around nicknaming himself, " Mister Spic " or " Señor Wetback/Beaner". These are offensive names for people why go around calling yourself that??? ---

I tried hard to avoid his company. ---

On the other hand, it is perfectly possible for someone to be gringo and not white. “Practical jokes” in general: hidden camera, those first thing in the morning prank calls… ---
