National Geographic. Usually I bring the book in with me though, so include Harry Potter, the latest Michael Crichton, or the latest Anne Rice paperback ---

Ehh, for me, I just picked up the habit from my family (dad especially), and kept at it. It usually takes a couple minutes to get my poop on, so I can flip through some comics or something, though I’ve been known to have my legs fall asleep if I’m reading something good. ---

Hee hee, I have a collection in the bathroom that’s been there for ages, and no matter how many times I’ve read it, I still enjoy it. Scott Adams’ _The Dilbert Future, Dogbert’s Clues for the Clueless, Dogbert’s Top Secret Guide to Management_, Dianne DiMassa’s _The Complete Hothead Paisan_, several copies of _Volleyball Magazine_, old enough that there’s pre-Sydney Olympics debate throughout them. Occasionally I’ll leave mail there, such as bills for whatever, because it reminds me every day to pay them 😃 Max 🙂 ---

As for WHY I read in the bathroom–well, I’m almost never without a book at home, unless I’m doing chores, or um, spending time with my husband. So usually, I take whatever book I’m reading. As for permanent/semi-permanent libraries, I’ve got a stack of magazines in the “guest” bathroom. In the master bath, I’ve had many different selections, usually something like Dilbert books, Hitchhiker’s Guide, or Terry Pratchett books, because you can pick any of them up and read a few pages anywhere to get a laugh. ---

Calvin and Hobbes books seem to be popular, and I indeed have the whole collection in the ol’ WC. My parents keep Lewis Grizzard books and Reader’s Digests (urk) in there. And I, for one, read in the bathroom because it takes my mind off the…um…deed. ---

the last house I rented had a very very small powder room for its only bathroom. Stool, Sink, Vanity. it was about as big as a small closet. (the shower was in a seperate room with the sauna (pernounced SOW-nuh, in northern Minnesota). Anyway the stool was directly across from the vanity. An unused shelf from inside the vanity was stored between the wall and cabinet. If you opened the 2 doors on the vanity you could place the shelf on the semi open doors and use it as a writing desk of sorts. I prefered to draw while doing the deed however. Lots of great sketches (I’m a draftsman) were produced while in my “little studio”. BTW, when I smashed my knee in an accident and had to wear an imobilizer on my leg for 2 weeks I would have to open the doors to the vanity and slide my leg inside so I could use the can! Also, had lots of crossword books, Cecil, Uncle John books, and various Cabella’s, and Jeep mags in there as well.
