It’s ironic they chose Robert DeNiro as an illustration for the section talking about the relative stability of black woman/white man couples. DeNiro’s first marriage to Diahnne Abbott (who is black) ended in divorce and his long-term relationship with Toukie Smith (also black) also ended in a split. DeNiro and his current wife, Grace Hightower, also planned on getting divorced at one point but they reconciled after a few years of living separately. So whatever the general statistics are on black women and white men, I think it’s clear that any black woman who hooks up with Robert DeNiro is taking her chances. ---

Ok i came up with 2 more IR couples in my orbit from days past, and finally, 1 of these are still happily together and living in sin (not wed). The other was an ex gf, who married a guy she met on a tropical vacation. He later commenced beating her and are now divorced. However her last hubby also beat her (a white alcoholic), and as far as her number of trips down the aisle, lets just say that she’d had more rice thrown at her than a Chinese pigeon. So odds are, if she had next married a 7 ft tall red head Korean, they would also be divorced within two years. And as far as the beatings, even thou I have never hit a woman, she was my ex that would be nominated as most likely to be beat, so I dont hold that against her ex IR hubby, nor the non IR ex. Regarding the former neighbors that are still very much the ideal couple after 12 years, they both had masters degrees and were successful in their careers as well. No cheating nor fighting, always seemed like they cared for each other. I would say they are a better couple than any non IR married couple that I know. So 1 out of 6 IRs in my orbit are still together (happily ). ---

I rescind my former statements, and now wholeheartedly agree with you and **brazil84** and think we should all stay in our little racial silos for the sake of the little children and God’s America. ---
