Tres kewl. I can wear it on the left hip to off-set the cell phone on the right hip. I wonder if I can get the wife to get it for me for Bastille Day?
What you need is one of those built in to the cell phone. Just be careful which button you press when answering the phone …

Nice. Is it an assisted opener?

I forgot the original question of the OP in my reply. Sorry. That is a nice peice of engineering and looks like it would fit a hand well.

To the post about never having carried a knife. Carry one for a month and you’ll never be without again. Opening those indestructable package wraps, cutting a peice ot twine, tightening a screw, stripping a wire, cutting a toy loose from a dozen twist ties that they feel the need to wrap it in, that kinda thing.

**silenus** - at $2995 I hope you’ve been a _very_ good boy! That is a beauty but way too nice to ever actually use for anything.

Dude, a [California Bowie](http://www.vintageknives.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jnomirf8) is the perfect accessory for _any_ outfit. If it clashes with your outfit, you need to dress better.
Dang, at almost $3000.00 that knife is worth more than all my outfits put together.

I bought a [Buck 112](http://www.buckknives.com/search.php?op=detail&start=0&pkid=226&category_id=223&search_term=112&return_op=search) about 20 years ago, and I love it. Durable, good size and weight, maintains an edge, locking blade, and the handle feels better in my hand the more it is used.

These days, I don’t need to carry a knife on my person on a day-to-day basis (not much call for it in the corporate world, and it’s a little overkill as a letter opener), but I keep it in my toolbag. Although the poster who mentioned keeping his knife in his car inspired me- might be nice to have it accessible from time to time.

I’ve carried a small knife for as long as I can remember. I used to carry Swiss Army knives, but the handles eventually came off on all mine. I currently carry a [CRKT KISS 5510](http://www.crkt.com/kiss.html) on my keychain, and use it all the time. I highly recommend them.
