My friend asked me what I thought about his new [song](http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=200206084) (Maquiladora). I had heard it pre-lyrics and thought it was a pretty Spanish-style song; now he’s added lyrics about the maquiladoras in Mexico. I don’t think I can be completely unbiased, so I turn to the Dope. I’m a more verbal person, so there are a few weak lyrics I can point out, but as to its musical merit, I don’t know.

Now, I know he recorded it using Garage Band sitting on the couch at 3AM, and he had a few beers, so I know, and he knows, there’s a note or too he sorta flubbed. But other than that, what sort of criticism can you offer?

(Feel free to ignore the other songs- they are old, and include old band members wanting to do something different musically. However, if you want a good laugh, watch the video for The Pirate Song)
