**Youth in Asia** A Dave Barry band name that I liked was **Nuances of Toast**. Actually, it was **Pinot Noir and the Nuances of Toast** , but I like the abridged one better. ---

This weekend my aunt and I came up with **Smeared Livers** I think the full name was Something or Other Pate and the Smeared Livers, but I’d had a few beers, and I can’t quite recall. ---

In law school, my Civ Pro Prof called the class’s attention to an endnote after a case that mentioned the company (and case), Blonder-Tongue. His reason was not to note the importance of the case, but rather to point out that it he felt it would have made an excellent name for a band! ---

One of my friends was in a band called **Brother Juju and the Crackdaddies.** I always liked that. I’ve thought that if I ever started a band, the name would be **$10,000 Reward** or **Lost Dog,** because the flyers and posters would really catch peoples’ eye. (anyone searching for a band name is free to use either of those.) ---

I always thought a great name for a metal band would be Nazgul. Some friends and I came up with this test: insert your possible band name in the blank and scream the following sentence out loud… if it sounds good, you’ve got yourself a band name. “Hello Cleveland! Give it up for \_\_\_\_\_\_!!” ---
