# What do you think would be the effect of this golf tournament idea?

Suppose the PGA decided to take $300 thousand out of the pot and give the leader of each of the first three rounds of a tournament $100 grand?

It might give some of the beginners a chance at some more money. Often a rookie or other lesser player will lead the first, second or even the third round. Then on Sunday they wake up to what’s going on and shoot 80.

I might also result in players taking a little more risk early on rather than making sure they don’t make a big score on a hole.

Anyway, what do you think?
