# What do you use to create Moveable Type templates

Since there doesn’t seem to be a program that does what I want (see [this thread in GQ](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=4761140)) with Moveable Type, I’ll ask here for your opinions:

What program do you find is best for creating (and editing) Moveable Type templates?

I would appreciate if a mod leaves the GQ thread open in case someone does know of a program that does what I describe in that thread.

I just write mine in a regular HTML (text) editor, and plug in the requisite Movable Type tags where necessary. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

What part of the process is tripping you up?
