I think I’m getting a potato ricer, myself. (And, yes, I asked for that.) In my parents house that device is also known as the spetzel noodler. But I’m willing to tell you Dopers some of the odd things that I’d never ask my family to get for me. (For one thing, you won’t actually do it, so I’m safe.) I’d enjoy getting [Kiki’s Delivery Service](http://video.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?ean=786936175226&userid=O9t1CoBW2b&frm=0&itm=1) on DVD. (I’ve got it on a legal tape, plus an older fansub - so it’s not something I’m eager to buy for myself.) I’d also love to get the DVD collection of [Victory at Sea](http://video.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?ean=733961709674&userid=O9t1CoBW2b&frm=0&itm=1). Honest to Og. What do I want? Money. The more the better. We are in the process of moving the Taekwondo school and it’s expensive. We’ve lost some students and we need to advertise heavily. Having a lottery ticket hit would be great but in its stead, I’ll accept donations. Anybody want to “buy a brick” and help us out? ---

Since we’re having some family crises this Christmas we probably won’t be celebrating too much. I just asked for a new CD player, a Leadbelly CD, and a biography of Hitler. (Don’t worry, I’m not a nazi, I just noticed that my book collection contained biographies of practically everyone else who ever lived but no non woo-woo books of Hitler.) ---

Other than a hearing aid cue violins and most of the books on my Amazon wish list ( some are just there for me to check on at the book store to see if they are as wunderbar as dopers or catalogs say they are.). Maybe a gift card to my local quilting shop so I can buy the stuff I really like. crack is probably cheaper. The latest DVD of Harry Potter & Shrek 2. ---

I want a rice cooker and the newest Laurell K Hamilton book that comes out in April. I also want a clean house. I will probably get a rice cooker, I gave my mom and my son BIG hints. but I will have to buy the book and then hide it so I get to read it 1st. but since it does not come out until April…I guess it won’t be for Christmas. ---

Let’s see… New computer TIVO Large flat screen TV My beautiful couch and chair resprung. I know I should just buy new furniture, but my couch and chair were my grandparents’, circa 1930. Midnight blue mohair, smushy comfy. But after years of use you now almost sit on the floor. A pieroghi folder. NOT a ravioli folder, a peiroghi foldler. A microwave/exhaust fan combo. It would free up counter space. A handyman for a week. I need to strip/repaint the shutters. I am very tired of hearing “Oh, the house with the BRIGHT yellow shutters?” _sigh_ Yup. I also need the dryer vent fixed, the fridge fixed… yeah, the handyperson would be busy. Gift card to Menards or Home Despots. Charles of the Ritz perfume. Very old timey, but I like it. Paraffin hand wax system. Or just a really good manicure.
