What do I want for Christmas? First and foremost: money, baby! Besides that, some new Clinique “New Clover” color rouge, which these days is the only makeup I use. What can I say, I’m lazy. I’ve also asked for a big-ass Yankee Candle, any flavor; an empire waist cashmere sweater tunic thing, and some new nice thick white cotton crew socks, which are all I wear with slacks and jeans. I know I’m getting other stuff but I don’t know what it is. Seriously, my family is way into stuff and at the risk of sounding disingenuously braggartly (I know it’s not a word but I don’t have anything better), we always go on overload at Christmas. Fun but somehow makes me feel psychologically bloated. ---

[/QUOTE] Nah it’s not the 3 hours of charging that’s the problem. 6 minutes isn’t enough time for me; I can see it would be useful for spot-cleaning the sofa after the cat sits on it, but I’ll wait until they come out with a handheld Dyson with a bit more run-time. ---

I’ve been having a very tough time thinking of anything I’d like to have, so I could nudge my husband. I’ve wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer, too, and there’s a box under my Mom’s tree with my name on it. It contains the mixer. I know because I had to send them the link to buy it from Amazon. I have plenty of jewelry. I have gobs of shoes and clothes. I am all stocked up on perfume and bath junk. I just can’t think of anything else. All the standard female knickknacks -scarves, gloves, purses, etc. - I have those, so I’ve told him not to buy me anything. Sadly, he can’t think of anything he wants, either. I can’t tell if we’re lame, spoiled, or just apathetic. ---

For my husband to go 24 hours without working. Barring that, an ice cream maker. I strongly suspect I’m getting the ice cream maker. It takes a special woman to love a geek. ---
