I really wanted a cat-a-day calendar, so I sent a link to my son and he swore he’d get me that…but he forgot to order in time, so I’ll just get it myself later. One of the highest points of my work day is pulling the page off my calendar and seeing a new cat. I’m weird like that. However, my husband did get me some boots I’ve wanted a long time. ---

I bought myself a chin-up bar for Christmas. It arrived today. It will not mount anywhere in the house because our walls are resistant to screws. I am extremely disappointed. ---

I got the only thing I asked for, which is a big slow cooker. My old one was only a 2 quart; the new one is a 5 quart slow cooker with a latching lid and a setting for keeping the food warm after it’s done cooking. Yay! ---

Several weeks ago, my best friend asked me what I wanted for Xmas. Really, the only thing I could think of was a grooming tool for my show dog called a Mars Coat King; I had one, once upon a time and the thing was MAGIC… but I left my entire grooming kit at a show. The thing is like $40, and I haven’t gotten around to getting another. It’s the only thing I wanted/needed. She is a show dog person too, so she knows the importance of such things. What she sent me was a couple blouses and a Swiss Colony gift pack. ☹ ---

I want: A color printer a good divorce lawyer all of _Kyo Kara Maoh_ on DVD a new desk chair (I am sitting on a folding chair as I type this) not to lose my job next year my own Akatsuki robe or Soul Society kimono a nice boyfriend with a car, his own place that he is not sharing with relatives and/or six other guys, and who has seen _Wings of Honneamise_, _Macross: Do You Remember Love?_, or at least _Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro_. (good luck with that one) Failing that, I’ll settle for a basket of bath and body products and a Starbucks gift card. ---

I’d like a Nintendo DS, cycling shoes with cleats and pedals, and flight sim/combat software. I know that I’m not getting any of them, since I haven’t asked anyone for them. Besides, the latter two are things I’d rather shop around for and pick out myself. ---

A better fitting job. I know I shouldnt sound so ungrateful when many people are out of work or wondering when they will be the next victim of unemployment - but I really really do not like the job I have now. For all stray cats and dogs to find good homes & be taken care of. and ditto on everyone getting what they deserve (via karma) ---
