I want my husband and I to comfortably live to old age and die in our sleep, holding our wrinkled old hands. I want to live in the same town for longer than two years. In the same vein, I want a condo. I want to adopt an older child. ---

I have a lot that’s better than I deserve, but I’d like to be in “the zone” more. That trance-like state where you’re looking for the right word, or note…fiddling with a found-object and turning it into something interesting…getting caught up in a cause or project that takes you out of yourself. That place where you don’t even question if you’re happy. You just—are. ---

In the short term: I’d like my son’s father to voluntarily move out of my house instead of making me go through the shitty process of evicting him. I’d like more time in the day to do the things i love doing instead of using up most of it doing things I have to do. In the long term: I’d love to find a BF/ future husband who enhances my life and appreciates the things I bring to the relationship, so I can be a good example to my son on what a healthy relationship is.
