# What do your friends and relatives eat that you find to be just plain nasty?

In case there’s anyone who’s still unaware (and has missed the several [previous threads](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-does-cilantro-taste-like-soap/382598) discussing it), cilantro tastes bad/“soapy” to some people for genetic reasons.

My answer: I’ve always found the smell or taste of tea to be nasty, and I can’t understand why so many people like it.
