What does a can of Coca Cola cost you?

Budapest, Hungary

half-liter bottle: 130 Forint (US$ 0.43)

Can’t remember price of canned Coke. Not too many vending machines with cans around here.

12-pack is about 3.30 at Target, but it periodically goes on sale for 2.50!
I love Coke. We won’t go to the grocery store when we’re out of food, but dammit, the second we’re out of Coke, we are heading to Target to get more. I can’t imagine a life without it. An CokeWorld in Vegas is really my idea of heaven.

In london, england I buy coke for 25p a can, approximately $0.36. Obviously the coke is multipack coke being sold on illegally but it tastes so good.

Every place I’ve lived, a 12 pack of Coke or Pepsi products (355 ml cans) usually runs about US$2.50 to US$3.00. Every place, that is, except Buffalo, New York. Name brand soft drinks have always been expensive there – a 12 pack will set you back about $4 in any local grocery store. One thing about Buffalo and its anachronistic tendancies, though – Coke and Pepsi in glass bottles are still plentiful.

$1.44 per £1stg today.
45p per 330ml can, 69p per 500ml bottle at the Students Union and £1.18 per 2 litre bottle @ Tesco’s.
Sell it for twice that and I’d still drink it. (Probably)

This is in Belfast Northern Ireland

Mmm…Coke. I drink way more of it than is healthy for me. Regardless…

On campus here at school, there are machines in the undergraduate dorms that sell 'em for $0.35 per can. Probably the same situation ITR Champion describes. Others on campus range as high as about $0.75, so you need to be willing to take a stroll for the deals.

Recently, a local grocery store had a sale: 2 12-packs for $5.00 (regular price: $5.29 each). With CRV (known in some places as the “deposit”) of 2.5 cents/can and 8% tax, that amounts to $6.05, or $0.25 per can. That’s about as good as you’ll likely see around here.

At work: 50 cents.

I usually buy 12-packs of generic soda at the local Wal-Mart for $1.78 though. I practically live on the stuff.

I’ll go with your exchange rate.

I usually pay 25p a can

But I’ve seen it in pubs for £1 and up to £1.50 :frowning:

No Dopers in Bulgaria? or India? or Hong Kong? Kazakhstan?

Tokyo, Japan

US $1 = about 126 JPY (That’d be yen folks)

350ml can from vending machine: JPY 110 - 120
500ml bottle from convenience store: about JPY 150
1.5 liter bottle from same convenience store: about JPY 330
250ml bottle from restaurant: any where from JPY 180 - 600 depending on the place.

That’s the dope on coke in Tokyo. (That sounds interesting, now don’t it?)
We now return you to your regularly broadcast thread already in progress…

I don’t like Coke. I usually buy Pepsi or Dr Pepper, whichever is on sale. I paid 3.99 a case a few weeks ago. That's about .165 a can. I bought three cases so I’m pretty much drinking Pepsi until we run out.

I pay $.55 for a can of Dr Pepper at work.

$7.99 Cdn for two 12-packs. That’s around 21¢ U.S. per can.

Here in Atlanta in the shadow of Coke’s headquarters it’s pretty much the same price it is everywhere else. It’s about 0.65 cents from a vending machine and maybe $3.50 for a 12-pack at the grocery store when it’s not on sale.

sleepyhead, I pay no more than $1.99 for a 12 pack. One of the three grocery stores(Publix, Kroger or Harris Teeter) I frequent is always running a sale.

At work, it’s 0.55/can, but I only drink water at work now. That’s free.

I rarely see a can of Coke outside of a vending machine or a newsstand, so it’s expensive. NOK10 at a minimum. NOK1 of that is deposit.

That isn’t really a fair representation, though. I can get a 1.5 liter bottle of Coke at a local store for NOK10, plus NOK2.50 deposit.

In and around New York, about $0.75 cents out of a vending machine. That’s the most common - occasionally less, slightly more often a bit more. I honestly don’t know how much when buying it in other places.

In a tourist area of Paris, France - e.g., around Sacre Coeur: a can costs 20-25 francs. Yes, a can - not a six-pack. When I lived there, that was about US$4-5. At today’s favorable exchange rate, that’s about $3.25. Of course, if you walk a few blocks away - into the not-so-heavily-touristed area - you can get one for a price comparable to a U.S. vending machine.

At work:
Can - 80 cents, Bottle - $1.25
At the stores:
Can - between 60 and 90 cents, bottles between 90 cents and $1.50.
We can usually find 12 packs on sale for $2.99, generics for $1.99.
If they have no Diet Coke, I buy anything but Pepsi. Pepsi is evil and should be stopped.

Here in Melbourne, Australia; $1.20/1.40 for a can. Of course, that is for a 375ml can. I don’t think there is a standard across the world. One thing that annoyed me about England was, being used to Australian serving sizes, you never got nearly enough in a bag of chips (crisps) or soft drink and yet you got WAY too much in a can of beer. I always thought it was kind of strange that the Poms pointed the finger at us as big drinkers when it seemed to me that they blew us away in that arena. I better go now; getting all nostalgic and misty-eyed.
