I think we all know that Pepsi owns its share of resturants, Taco Bell KFC and Pizza Hut (Long John Silvers also right?). Does Coke own any resturants? There are some Resturants that seem to be more expressive with their branding of Coke Products. Zaxby’s Chicken, Boston Market… etc. What is the Deal with this. Also, didnt Coke own “Eagle” brand snack foods? (which I dont see anymore…) ---

Recently, PepsiCo spun off Taco Bell/KFC/Pizza Hut, but still maintains an exclusive marketing deal with them (supplying soda syrups, etc.) ---

One of the reasons why you see Coke in so many places is because of Pepsi’s involvement with their chains. A place like Domino’s sees selling Pepsi as contributing to the enemy, since Pepsi owns (owned, depending on how Yum! stock Pepsi still has) Pizza Hut. I used to work in a pizza shop that was part of a small franchise chain. We were the only shop out of 28 that served Pepsi. Franchisor used to give the owner heck for not serving Coke, and all prepared advertising from the franchisor featured Coke, so he couldn’t use any of it. But, the Pepsi plant was about 3 blocks away, and if we needed anything, they’d be there in 15 minutes. The Coke distributor was 30 miles away and sometimes took days to show up at the neighboring restaurants.
