# What does it mean to be 'whoosed' in a thread?

I’ve seen this in a couple of threads where someone get’s ‘whoosed’? Is it like a crack? A cut down to a poster? Or something different?

Saying someone’s been “whooshed” is shorthand for saying that something went over their head (presumably at a high rate of speed). It’s usually meant, more specifically, to indicate that a poster missed a joke or some sarcasm in an earlier post, and they responded to it seriously.
