My daughter wants to eat whipped cream for her birthday. I could probably just give her a spoon and a bowl of it, but I thought it might be nice to, you know, serve it with something. I was thinking maybe some kind of chocolate pie, but any suggestions welcome. We are having waffles for breakfast, so that’s one thing. ---

Berries, waffles, pancakes, any type of pastry, ice cream, pie, cake, crepes, jello, chocolate desserts, cobblers, crumbles & crisps, malts, ice cream sodas & milk shakes. Give me time and I may come up with a few other suggestions. ---

There’s a salad called “broken glass salad” You cube up Jello, several colors if you want to go to the trouble, and fold the pieces into whipped cream. ---

We always put it on fruit salad – maybe just use a lot of whipped cream on small pieces of fruit, instead of using like a dressing? ---

How old is your daughter? Based on my own experience with little kids, mixing her precious whipped cream with \*anything \*might just make her angry. ---

Waffles work well as a base. Or pudding. Just a spoon is also a good bet as you already noted. Be prepared for the inevitable tummy ache if she eats too much at once. I’m assuming she is under ten? ---

I saw a recipe once in one of my mom’s magazines: "Our Favorite Dessert: 1 biscuit 1 strawberry 1 blueberry 1 raspberry 43 cans Redi-Whip" With accompanying photo, of course. ---

I believe, according to Abby\_Emma\_Sasha, that the _correct_ term should be [whip cream](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=486331) (starting about post 15) That said, it’s great mixed into hot chocolate. You can also just make a mound of it and drizzle it with chocolate syrup and a cherry (and bananas, whatever)…make a banana split or sundae but use the whipped cream instead of ice cream. ---

Waffles, fresh fruit, real whipped cream and real maple syrup sounds like the perfect birthday breakfast to me. Second best, just hand me a can of whipped cream and let me dispense it straight into my mouth.
