My parents think my biggest shortfall is that I don’t follow through with anything. (I’m working in it, Dad, but I’m not marrying _her_.
**Alistair** ’s biggest shortfall is his procrastination and his personal hygiene. 😃

I know that, when I was growing up, my mom thought I was kind of slow because I couldn’t (and still can’t) do arithmetic quickly in my head. Sometimes I suspect she still thinks that.

Both Mum and Dad think I’m frustratingly lazy, and that sometimes I slack off on my responsibilities.

My mom told me a few years ago that I was “cold” .
That’s her way of coping with the fact that I don’t like her.

Kind of like **Maastricht**. My mother thought I lacked compassion, because she pissed me off so much I’d go out of my way to say uncompassionate things that I didn’t believe.
My dad probably thought for a long time that I was lazy, because for a long time I was lazy. I’m talking about schoolwork, not physical labor. We did a lot of the latter together, so he knew I was a workhorse. Other than that, I don’t think he had a problem with me.

It’s hard to say, as my parents aren’t very critical and I’ve been a grownup for a while now.
My guess is that my mom thinks my main shortfall is that I don’t put any effort into making some man fall in love with me and be my prince charming.
Actually, dad probably thinks pretty much the same thing. But at least he stopped pressuring me to go out on dates. Guess my last husband cured him of that!

My dad thinks I’m idealistic, impractical, and too much of a Twinkie.
I’m not sure what my mom thinks. She probably would say I’m not religious enough (both parents are Catholic).
