My user name is a reference to an [ancient Assyrian capital](http://www.assyriansocietycanada.org/HistoricalNotes.htm). Years ago, before I decided to major in archaeology, there was an exhibition of Assyrian artefacts at the Melbourne Gallery. I was fascinated by the culture and history of the people. This started my interest in all things Mesopotamian. Plus, I really liked the name. ---

I began working part time for a small architecture-photography firm when I was junior in high school. When school was not in session I’d work there full time. I would mostly draft, run errands, photograph construction sites, and photograph or video weddings on weekends. Three years after my first day working there, I am a sophomore in college, but my major is engineering as opposed to architecture. My roommate, however, is an architecture student so we have friendly debates about various buildings and architectural concepts coming from 2 different perspectives. I’ve always found architecture to be a fascinating topic, but I lack the motivation to be architect. I still work at the arch-photo firm during the holidays and summers and, during a semester I occasionally will photo weddings on weekends. ---

It’s Czech and Russian (and perhaps a few other Slavic languages) for “lawyer”; its literal translation means “truther”. prav, root for “truth”; -nik, suffix for “thing that does or is associated with”. Kind of boring, actually. I’m thinking of changing it to “Mentat Assassin”. I’m sute that would get me called “Mentat Ass” in the Pit, though. ---

The origins of my user name are shrouded in mystery and cloaked in ancient enigma. Much speculation has been done on the exact origin and meaning of my username, but none, I repeat, none, have ever guessed it. Much like the Sphinx of old, I jealously guard the riddle of my username and defy anyone to try and unlock the hidden meaning contained therein. Wise men have toiled for years, sages have wracked their brains for decades, wizard and sorcerers and the most knowledeable men of antiquity have spent centuries trying to figure it out. Yet, here I stand, laughing at their failure, mocking their futile efforts and deriding their foolish attempts.
