When I first saw your name I was concerned you might be on the opposite side of the issue. I’ve only tasted _foie gras_ once - in bastardized form, atop the delicious french toast @ Publican - but I would agree that such food is more ‘glorious’ than truly ‘evil.’ PETA et. al. do a really poor job of picking their spots. My moniker is lifted from a Holger Czukay song title, “Hiss ‘n’ Listen” from the _On the Way to the Peak of Normal_ LP. I use the handle for remixes and it will also soon appear as its own wax. ---

WWTMI I usually just call him daddy - and I’m his baby girl. I mean, I never called my father by his first name either . . . ---

I have said before, even when my daughter was born, and I asked him how it felt to be a grandfather, he replied, “I’m not a grandfather, I am a grandmotherfucker!” So anyway, I didn’t want to be Guru Jesse, but I was journaling a lot, and basically wanted a persona as my ‘now’ and I was writing to my future self (incidentally named ZVY for Zenobian Velo Youth- much longer story), so the initials I use most are JLP - say it as an acronym and you get julp. Throw on the guru, and there you have it. Used various versions since I was sixteen. Still wondering if I will ever get to be ZVY… ---

Mine says that I like to play cards, though there’s a little more story to it than that. Back in high school my friends and I got in the habit of signing our names to particular cards in a deck. I always chose the king of spades, just because I thought spades were the coolest looking of the four suits. When I joined AOL in the spring of 1993 I needed a username. The ten character limit forced me to shorten things down to Kingspades, which I’ve used on many and sundry boards ever since. I wish I could remember how that whole deck signing thing got started. Perhaps somebody on Facebook will remember. ---

I’ll comment now just so that we can have two evil names back to back. One night I was joking around with a group of friends. Get rich quick schemes and politics were amongst the many topics discussed. I kept proposing absurdly inhumane plans, ranging from pimping to extorting the Norwegian government. This prompted a friend of mine to remark that I was “a textbook of evil.” Later that evening, the same friend lamented that he could not be president since he was born in El Salvador. I told him I would vote for him as a write in candidate anyway. He replied that when elected he would appoint me Secretary of Evil. ---
